New
web site highlights band activities, band history and a discography
among the best on the Internet.
Atlanta,
Georgia - January 14, 2003
--The Atlanta Rhythm Section (ARS) announced today the launch
of a new state-of-the-art band web-site, www.atlantarhythmsection.com,
designed to provide in-depth information
about the band to its fans throughout the world. The modernized
ARS web site coincides with additional band marketing activities
targeted for the "new year" and features multimedia presentations
showcasing the band's history and music, a detailed history
of the band and one of the most comprehensive discography's
on the web.
"We've
got a very loyal group of fans out there and we're happy to
be able to offer a web site that keeps us connected with those
fans," said Barry Bailey, ARS lead guitar player and band manager.
"We look forward to updating the site with information on our
upcoming concert dates and other information about the band
during 2003," continued Bailey.
The
modernized web site can be accessed at http://www.atlantarhythmsection.com.
The
Atlanta Rhythm Section achieved widespread popularity and success
as part of the Southern Rock wave in the 1970's. In the years
since, the band established a legacy that places it among the
premiere Classic Rock bands in the world. ARS has been touring
for over 30 years, playing with many of the pre-eminent Southern
and Classic Rock bands. The band continues to be an active touring
group today - playing mostly in the South, but also at other
venues throughout the country.
ARS
released their first album in 1972 and released a total of 16
original albums. Among their biggest recorded hits were "Spooky",
"So In To You", "Imaginary Lover", "Not Gonna Let it Bother
Me Tonight" and "Champagne Jam." These were just a few of the
most popular songs from an extensive recorded catalog of outstanding
songwriting and excellent musicianship that has stood the test
of time.
The
modernized Atlanta Rhythm Section music web site was produced
for ARS by Washington D.C. area marketing and communications
firms N-Group Communications, Inc. and Nauset Communications.
With more than 40 years of combined marketing and communications
experience, N-Group and Nauset focus on a variety of "new media"
solutions for clients in the entertainment field and other areas.
